I. Job Summary
Provides leadership to the Customer Service Team consisting of
Industrial Customer Service Representatives and Industrial Inside Sales
Representatives. Provides analytical and specialized administrative
support, troubleshooting and coordination activities of a non-routine
nature.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform
each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Provides daily direction and leadership to the Customer Service
Team including training, development and performance management. This
includes the definition of performance standards, communication of
performance expectations, the delivery of work assignments, review and
documentation of performance and training, coaching and employee
feedback.
- Establishes and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by
ensuring that prospective and existing customers are satisfied with
Waste Management's service.
- Facilitates customer complaints, requests for information or
special requests.
- Coordinates customer site tours and audits. This includes
scheduling, assistance with logistics, promulgating company information,
conducting tours and audits, completing of all audit packages prior to
customer arrival, satisfying customer consideration and follow-up on
unresolved issues.
- Provides specialized customer support including the investigation
and analysis of issues for expedient resolution, troubleshooting of
customer requests regarding Company procedures, regulatory mandates,
profile changes, pre-approved manifest reviews, QZ/QC checks and
requests for other information.
- Effectively utilizes, coordinates and cultivates strong
relationships with Sales, Approvals, Laboratories and Operations to
ensure the delivery of high quality and timely service to customers.
This includes administrative support, troubleshooting and assistance in
obtaining information, answering questions, reviewing letters requiring
profile changes and resolving problems and special requests.
- Acts as a central point of contact and interface between
customers/prospects, sales and disposal sites.
- Provides sales support and acts as the liaison between the sales
team and their respective customers to help maximize selling time for
outside sales personnel. This includes the review and preparation of
approval contracts and confirmation letters when necessary to expedite
the contracting and approval process.
III. Supervisory Responsibilities
The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the
management of non-supervisory employees.
IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications
necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
Required: High school diploma or G.E.D., and four to six years previous
experience.
Preferred: Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience, and four to six
years previous experience.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
Ability to convert customer cancellation requests in order to maintain
revenue levels, and/or complex negotiations skills required.
